Service Description

17th and 18th of June 2023! 2 days of development and progress Susi May's training method is not one specific training form. Over the past 9yrs she has developed her clicker training technique from a range of different training disciplines and has incorporated positive reinforcement, pressure release and natural horsemanship. Her training is also very connection based and she finds that allowing the horse to express themselves, rewarding curiosity and engagement will create a horse that is more trusting and motivated in their training process. Specialising in confidence building, behavour issues and liberty, Susi’s gentle and effective training method is also used allowing horses and humans to connect on a deeper level. Energetic connection that goes beyond the physical is what she aspires to teach. "After having a full knee reconstruction and nearly 6 months out of the saddle, I can honestly say that having being forced to only work with horses from the ground changed my life! Horses have raised my awareness, my consciousness and I am now able to focus on the messages that they are giving me. The more you stop to observe and learn from animals, the healthier and more peaceful your life will be. They are our earth schoolteachers." Clicker training is based on behavoural psychology and is backed by decades of scientific research. Clicker is considered one of the best practices by international animal training organisations and is used in zoo’s & marine parks around the world. It is used and recommended by professional animal trainers of all species, horses, dogs, cats, birds, sheep, lamas, camels, goats, and all other animals. Clicker training is being used successfully by horse owners, riders and trainers around the world. It works with horses of all ages and breeds and it will help you whether you want a happy horse that is easy to handle and ride or you want to achieve your goals in the competition arena. Building positive emotions around your horse and finding ways to train positively yet prioritise boundaries and relaxation is the foundation of clicker training.
